3:00 - 7:00 p.m. 4th Annual Oak Park Micro Brew Review
Downtown Oak Park, Illinois on Marion Street between Lake St. and North Blvd.
The Midwest's Largest Zero Waste Craft Beer Festival. Co-produced by Seven Generations Ahead and the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild and in collaboration with the Downtown Oak Park Association, the Oak Park Micro Brew Review features tastings of over 90 craft beers from more than 30 microbreweries across the Midwest. But this is not just your average beer festival; proceeds from the event help fund SGA’s non-profit work to build healthy, environmentally sustainable communities in the Midwest. Attendees can celebrate sustainable living while sampling beers and select food tastings that incorporate organic food from local farmers. And to make sure minimal event waste is sent to the landfill, this festival models Zero Waste best practices. BONUS: This is the only craft beer event featuring the Illinois Craft Brewer's Guild "Replicale" project. This exciting annual project features a different beer style each year brewed by 15 or more Illinois brewers to showcase the nuances in brewing technique and system design. This year's style is American-Belgo Pale Ale.
NEW THIS YEAR: Space has been added to the festival layout to accommodate growing crowds. New ticket options allow for up to six hours of tastings. Transportation: Public transportation to this event is not only encouraged, but conveniently located less than a block away. Try the Harlem/Lake stop on the CTA Green Line or the Metra Oak Park stop. Join the After Party held at Marion Street Cheese Market just one short block south of the fest. Specialty foods and brews will be on tap and available for purchase. Event Ticket Prices: Ticket sales are now open! Don't delay, this event has sold out the last two years! Purchase tickets at this link. Ticket Packages are available at $40 to $75. All tickets include unlimited beer tastings and a specialty beer tasting glass. Food is sold separately. Ticket sales end at 11:00 p.m. (US Central) on Friday, August 19th. All proceeds of the Oak Park Micro Brew Review benefit Seven Generations Ahead, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, whose mission is to promote the development of healthy, sustainable communities in the Midwest.
