5:00 p.m. Stone's Most Bitter Bar Chicago - Celebration at Fountainhead

From June 4th-11th, 110 lupulin-crazed bars competed in Stone Brewing Co.’s “Most Bitter Bar Challenge.” The premise was simple: the bar that pours the most of Stone’s hop-focused beers wins the undying glory of being named “Most Bitter Bar” for a period of one year. And after counting each drop, Stone has announced that Fountainhead is the Chicago Winner! So they are gonna celebrate with a night of awesome Stone beers like: Cali-Belgique IPA – a California style IPA, with a Belgian yeast strain Sublimely Self Righteous Ale –an India Black Ale Belgo Anise Imperial Russian Stout – with Anise, oak chips & Belgian Yeast And a very special Cask, for the first time ever: Sm’OAKED Porter – per Fountainhead Beer Director’s idea, Stone has taken their Smoked Porter & the Oak Chips they use for their OAKED Bastard to create Sm’OAKED Porter! We will also be serving up some Stone Flights including a RIS Flight: Imperial Russian Stout 2011, BelgoAnise Imperial Russian Stout, Imperial Russian Stout 2010, Imperial Russian Stout 2008.

7:00 p.m. Boka/Goose Island Dinner Series

Cost: $55. Every Tuesday in August, BOKA chef de cuisine Carl Shelton will prepare a three-course dinner paired with Goose Island's Juliet, Lolita, and Madame Rose. $55 per person. For a space at one of the dinners, call 312-337-6070.

Pouring three La Trappe Trappist beers matched up with great Japanese cuisine from Nano Sushi.

  • Isid'or (7.5% strong amber beer) with Una Q (Eel) - fresh water eel, cucumber, unagi sauce.
  • Quadrupel (10%) with Spicy Tuna - tuna, scallion, masago (roe), cucumber, spicy sauce, chili oil.
  • Dubbel (7%) with Gyoza - pan fried pork & vegetable dumplings.

Featuring 20 draft lines of sure-to-please brews. We will have Goose BCS on a Nitro pour, yup, Nitro. Lazarus, Big John, and 5 Lines of "Deconstructed Green Line:" Goose Island's brewers are making single hop varieties of their Green Line, using all 5 hops to make 5 different brews. Some new Saisons as well as some Favorites will be on hand.

6:00 p.m. BrickStone 5 Year Anniversary Ale tapping

We will be releasing our chocolate stout, aged for nearly a year in a Jack Daniels whiskey barrel. There will also be a limited release in 22 oz. bottles as well.

A unique collaboration of Chicago Food Trucks and Chicago's latest smash dive bar. Scott Harris (Francesca's, Purple Pig, Davanti Enoteca) has a new restaurant and bar in the South Loop area called Ethyl's Beer and Wine Dive. Every Thursday night throughout the summer there will be a collection of roughly 7 different Food Trucks outside the restaurant. Come have a good time with Goose Island beer, Food Trucks, and Music.
