All day long we’ll be serving $4 pints of New Belgium’s beers, and have some of the New Belgium folks here to talk about the company, their core values and beliefs, and of course to drink some brews. Expect to find Fat Tire, Somersault, and Ranger IPA all tapped and served as they should be with quality and a great deal of fun for all who partake.

Sample some fine beers from renowned brewer Garrett Oliver at Brooklyn Brewery. Catering will be provided by Pleasant House Bakery, a new bakery/cafe at 964 W 31st Street in Chicago's Bridgeport neighborhood. We're thrilled to feature Art and Chelsea's fine creations at Map Room! The flavors of the meat pies will be: Steak and Ale Pie. All natural beef, ale, carrots, and herbs. Chicken Balti Pie. All natural chicken in fresh ground curry spices with tomato and Nigella seeds. Mushroom & Kale Pie. Assorted mushrooms, kale, white wine, herbs and Parmesan. All pies are handmade and feature the bakery's own flaky, buttery pastry.

A seven course beer dinner featuring Founders Brewing Company of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Ranked as the 4th best brewery in the world by Ratebeer.com in 2010, winner of four medals at the 2010 World Beer Cup and two medals at the 2010 Great American Beer Festival, this is sure to be an outstanding event. The beers we will be pairing with are two seasonal brews, Cerise and Double Trouble, plus their five year-round offerings: Dirty Bastard, Centennial IPA, Porter, Red's Rye and their Dry Hopped Pale Ale. We also were fortunate enough to receive a keg of Blushing Monk for this event, which we are excited to be able to offer our guests.

7:00 p.m. The Midsummer Theatre Troupe presents Love's Labour's Lost

Set in the Islands, you'll not only get great Shakespeare comedy - but you might see some Island flair as well...overall a wonderful family event or even a first date. Randy Mosher is an author, lecturer and consultant on beer styles and brewing. an instructor for the Siebel Institute in Chicago and the author of The Brewers Companion, Radical Brewing and most recently, Tasting Beer. Randy and chef John McLean are collaborating on a spectacular beer menu featuring craft brews from breweries all over the country selected by randy. This is a great opportunity to for beer enthusiasts as well as newcomers to learn marabout their favorite breweries as well as enjoy their craft. Not an event to be missed. Beers featured include Chicago's 5 Rabbit Cerveceria, for which Randy is brewing consultant: 5 Rabbit Golden Ale, 5 Lizard Latin-style witbier with passion fruit, plus Goose Island Pepe Nero, Stone Self Righteous Black IPA, Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye, plus the Burger Bar Beer Cocktail – Old Rasputin Imperial Stout, Prosecco and Chambord. An all-Charcuterie Family Dinner? Yes please!! Chef Charles Burkhardt is giving in to his love of cured meats, pates, & sausages by featuring them all over this menu. All capped off with one of Pastry Chef Crystal Chiang’s splendid desserts & beer pairings from Cicerone Elliott Beier. Pairing will feature Samuel Smith’s Nut Brown Ale, Brasserie Theillier’s “La Bavaisienne” Biere De Garde, Bockor’s “Cuvee de Jacobins Rouge” Flanders Red, and Rochefort’s “10” Trappist Quadrupel. 7:00 - 11:00 p.m. North Coast Grand Cru Release

Join us for a night of North Coast Beer featuring the release of North Coast Grand Cru, which is brewed exclusively with Pils malt, with an addition of agave nectar in the kettle. It’s subtle, complex, and lightly hopped with a deceptive 12.5% ABV, and aging it in oak gives this unique beer an extra dimension. The result is really champagne-like. Also available this night will be PranQster draft, Scrimshaw draft, Blue Star draft, Le Merle bottles and Old Rasputin bottles.
