5 minute films based on stages of intoxication! That's right! 5 minute films based on the 5 stages of intoxication: euphoria, excitement, confusion, stupor and coma! Chicago area filmakers have taken on this incredible task andare ready for your approval. FREE ADMISSION! Thanks to our partners for this event
Chicago Filmmakers, this promises to be a great evening of local art. Popcorn! Beer!

Chicago-based Drinking and Writing Theater has been exploring the connections between creativity and alcohol since 2002. They've successfully paired beer with theater, writing contests, a radio show, and an art festival, so why not film? The Tied House Film Festival will be the first ever film festival devoted to the art of drinking. New short films from local and regional filmmakers will be served, all loosely based on the five stages of intoxication. The films may not be about alcohol intoxication per se, but will explore the state of intoxication however personally defined. Visit our website to see the full line-up.

We'll be sampling out some summer releases as well as year-round brews that we think are fit for the season. What to expect: Bell's Oberon, Two Brothers Dog Days, Anderson Valley Summer Solstice, Victory Summer Love, Allagash White, Goose Island Summertime & Sofie, Unibroue Ephemere, Founders Cerise ...and possibly a few more. We just might pull out some gems from the cellar to see if anyone catches them.
