As summer slowly creeps up on the calendar, we have a few events ahead of the usual Father's Day brunches. I'll shortly be telling you about Two Brothers' Hop Juice Festival this Saturday.

One of our Cicerones will pull new beers recently added to the list and provide some background on each style and samples for you to taste. Tracy and Jess of Metropolitan Brewing head to River North for this Thursday night series organized by Bull & Bear. They've been paired up with a charity, The Chicago Fire Foundation, and in exchange for a donation of $10-15, you'll be able to sample three Metro beers. Afterwards, there will be some local tunes. Come out and support this charity event! And local beer and music!

Later this year than normal, but a return of our popular English Strong Pale Ale will see Jose and I collaborating on a beer and cheese pairing in the brew house. We will serve this in the traditional manner, straight from an extra dry hopped cask. Get here early as the cask and cheese will run out fast.
