Chicago Craft Beer Week shows no signs of slowing down. Many of these events were just announced Monday, as I'm writing this up! Again, the official CCBW events may require use of the CCBW Passport, and I've tried to indicate the ones that do. Others are hanger-on events, or regularly-scheduled events that just happen to fall during CCBW.
4:00 - 7:00 p.m. HALF ACRE HIKE!!!
Half Acre Brewery, 4257 N. Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL
Join us as Half Acre Beer Company, Acre Restaurant, Hopleaf, and Fountainhead hike around the neighborhoods and drink some special beer. Every bar will have a keg of "Meat Wave" a special beer brewed for Chicago Craft Beer Week. The

4:00 p.m. Half Acre Brewery Tour, there is a sign up sheet at each of the bars involved with 20 spots each so ask your servers and bartenders.
5:30 Arrive at Acre Restaurant and drink 3 special one-off beers from Half Acre Brewery, eat some food, have some laughs.
6:30 Arrive at Hopleaf to try 3 more specia one-offl beers, eat some food, and have a few more laughs.

Marisol is a Belgian Style Golden ale brewed in collaboration with Chef Rick Bayless. The beer is brewed with Citra and Crystal Hops then fermented with our house Belgian Ale yeast strain. Spices are added during fermentation include green tea, green coriander, orange, grapefruit and lime peel.

One of Founders' awesome brews gets tapped. Get here early as it won't last the night! This Old Ale conjures up thoughts of classic seafaring ports, there local pubs and the weathered fisherman that frequent them. In traditional style, Curmudgeon is brewed with an intense focus on the malt bill creating a very strong, rich, malty characteristic and a sweetness indicative of its cousin the barleywine. We are especially proud of the balance in this beer making it deceptively smooth and drinkable at 9.8% alcohol by volume.
