"So, I looked in my cooler a few weeks ago and realized I had a keg of Stone's Vertical Epic 10.10.10, and then saw that I had a keg of New Belgium's Metric 10/10/10... Let's put them on at the same time!!!
Stone Vertical Epic 10.10.10: A Belgian-style golden trippel is the starting point of this beer with the addition of dried chamomile flowers, triticale, and Belgian amber candi sugar. Then the addition of just-pressed Muscat, Gewurztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. ABV: 9.5%.
New Belgium 10.10.10 Metric Ale: A beer made from 10 ingredients on 10.10.10 at 10:10 in the a.m., then fermented in Fermentation Vessel #10 for 10 days resulting in an abv of 10%. 10.10.10's 10 ingredients include lager yeast, Polish noble hops, multiple malts, black pepper and grains of paradise. Though relatively high in alcohol at 10% abv, the beer finishes quite dry with a fruity nose from spicing.
In Addition to the 10.10.10's, you know how we at Fountainhead love cask beer so...we have a cask from both breweries: Stone Double Dry-Hopped IPA w/ Amarillo New Belgium's 20th Anniversary -Super Cru As well as fun drafts like New Belgium Ooh LaLa & Stone Double Bastard with Chipotle Peppers!!
