6:00 - 8:00 p.m. • Rock Bottom Orland Park Taps Crystal IPA

With over 17 lbs of Crystal hops in this IPA, there is sure to be plenty of citrus hop flavor and aroma. Join our brewmaster in the Brew House for a sample of an extra dry hopped cask version and take advantage of our half price Mug Club burgers on a Monday.

4:00 - 11:30 p.m. • Meet Left Hand's New Brew, Stranger!

Friend or Foe? Sane or senseless? Harmless or harmful? Sometimes it takes awhile to get to know a stranger. Initial impressions are not always reality, so you must delve deeper. Beyond the initial floral hop aromas, malt sweetness is revealed, yet with a spicy undertone that exposes a very rye sense of humor. Take your time to get to know the Stranger. It's strangely satisfying. On Tuesday, Fountainhead will be tapping a keg of the new pale ale from Left Hand Brewing Co, "Stranger." It's a 5% ABV pale ale with a little rye malt in the grain bill, and a classic American hop profile - citrusy, grapefruity, and delicious. And just to spice things up a bit, Fade to Black Volume 2 will be on tap, along with Sawtooth Nitro and a keg of 2010 Chainsaw (Imperial Sawtooth)! As usual, Chef Robyn and her crew will be whipping up some amazing small-place specials to pair with the beers! Everything will be available at 4 o'clock and beyond!

  • Course #2: Low Country Boil: crawfish, potatoes, okra, lemons

Mardi Gras starts late this year and we are gonna have some special brews for Fat Tuesday! A month ago we let you taste our "Oaked Pig", which was our Flying Pig Imperial IPA, aged on oak. Everyone loved it and it was gone quickly! So, Brewmaster Ken has made another batch and it will be ready to go on March 8th! Ken is also bringing a new pig into the family, the "Drunken Pig"! This little piggy is being aged on bourbon soaked oak and is finishing up right now. The "Drunken Pig" will make it all the way home on the 8th, but needs your help getting through the door! On Fat Tuesday you can enjoy all 3 of our pigs side by side by side in a delicious flight. In addition to those, we will also start selling Lakefront Brewery's "Big Easy Imperial Maibock" that night. This tasty brew comes to us from Milwaukee! On March 8th we will have live music, rum specials, Cajun food specials, and a whole lot of beads, in addition to some delicious beer!

    Just found this blog and it's great. although its not in Chicago, the Frankenmuth Brewery in Michigan is pumping out beer that is perfect for Mardi Gras consumption. They have a great German-style Hefe that has awesome taste. If anyone is in the area they are having a huge party Friday that will make the them the headquarters of Mardi Gras Michigan http://frankenmuthbrewery.com/blog/brewery/mardi-gras-michigan/
