Friday, February 18

We're planning to release two beers: Callow Knife Pale Ale (growlers only) & Baumé Chocolate Rye Stout (22 oz bombers & growlers). One is a new beer that's late to the game, the other a yearly release that we brew as an anniversary beer. Both should land in a winter sweet spot for us all.

That's right! Our Oyster Fest has become so popular, we have decided to add a winter edition of our classic September event! The Tribes' will be featuring a whole bunch of East and West Coast Oysters in all forms! This time, we are complementing the Oysters with Stouts!

Greg Browne, brewmaster at Mickey Finn's Brewery in Libertyville, guides us through the nuances of beer and its appreciation. Students study several beers and learn exactly what they're tasting and the roles that the ingredients and the brewing process have in forming those aromas and flavors. Don't miss a great opportunity to enjoy fine beer, good company and expert tutelage. Price, $25 per person. February's topic: Barley Wine and Imperial IPA. Tickets went on sale on the Monday evening before beer school (Nov. 22), starting at 7 p.m., first come-first serve until all tickets have been sold. You must have a ticket to attend Beer School.

7:00 - 10:00 p.m. • 13th Annual Food and Froth
Milwaukee Public Museum, 800 W. Wells St., Milwaukee, WI
Sip stout in the Streets of Old Milwaukee, devour hors d'oeuvres with the dinosaurs, and rhumba in the rainforest during the 13th AnnualFood & Froth Fest. A celebration of all types of beer - from across town to halfway around the world - Food & Froth will also feature appetizers from a variety of local restaurants and caterers and music from local bands.
