Jim Harshaw

I recently received a request from Jim Harshaw regarding his interest in writing a guest post on social media's impact on athletes. I was intrigued by his request and asked him to send along a short bio to show his experience in sports and connectiont to the environment for which he wanted to write. I was impressed by his credentials and have scheduled his piece to appear on Monday, August 15th. Stop back this Monday and see what Jim has to say!!!

About: Jim Harshaw

Riot Sports Marketing (RSM) was founded by Jim Harshaw, a former Division I All American in wrestling at the University of Virginia.  Jim was the assistant wrestling coach at his alma mater before becoming the youngest Division I head wrestling coach in the nation at Slippery Rock University (SRU). He eventually returned to Charlottesville, VA to assume the role of executive director of a non-profit before starting his first company. With a background in collegiate coaching, small business management, and non-profit leadership, he developed the RSM system with the goal to help teams and organizations grow awareness, increase attendance, and raise more money through social media sports marketing and fundraising.  Having worked consulted with over 50 organizations including national sports organizations and non-profits, his vision was developed with input from college and high school coaches, marketing and small business consultants and leaders in the athletics community.
