Apparently fall is the new trend for wedding season. And if I needed further evidence, I could simply look at my ever-growing stack of wedding invitations over the next two months. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally jazzed for our friends that have finally found that special someone to tolerate their crazy antics until they're old, gray and incapable...but honestly? I'm starting to feel the wedding burn out.
Like any wedding goer...I find ways to pass the time as the officiant chatters on for 20 minutes about how he's known Suzy since she was in pigtails or watching the overly intoxicated groomsman spill his drink down the front of the maid of honor's inevitably tacky dress.
It's okay...she really never had any plans to wear it ever again despite the bride's insistence that it'd be just PERFECT for a future occasion.
But like I said, I do what everyone else does.
Don't deny it. You and I both know that we've both sat back during the Chicken Dance and silently mocked the bride's choice of flowers...or pitied the tulle that was crafted into a sorry excuse of a bridesmaid dress...or wondered what the hell she was thinking when she let the dollar dance go on for forty-five minutes.
It's okay. We've all been there and judged such tragic decisions.
So in the spirit of tragic wedding decisions, here's a look at the most ridiculous mistakes of all...horrifically awesome bridal gowns...
Hold on tight because here comes the bride!
