Looking for Love - The Anti-Cruelty Society Cat & Dog of the Week

Please share - let's get these cuties adopted!

Prim Rose
4-year-old shepherd mix

Prim Rose is a sensitive girl who will probably enjoy a calm, adult household. She will need patience and support to feel more comfortable in her environment. A slow approach will be best, taking care not to put her in potentially overwhelming situations. She will benefit from one-on-one time to help her learn to enjoy handling, as she currently tends to be hand-shy and a bit worried about being handled too much. She certainly warms up with time and familiarity, and may show a more animated and playful side as she acclimates to a new home. Despite her initial caution, she does not really require much encouragement to approach new people (at her own speed). She has quickly made some friends here and is noticeably more relaxed as she gets to know people. With some attention to Prim's needs, she will surely be a wonderful companion.

9-year-old domestic short-hair mixMaggie

Say hello to Maggie! This very lovely girl came to The Anti-Cruelty Society under the very saddest of circumstances - her owner passed away and left her all alone. Maggie is a sweet and gentle girl, who has a fun playful side. She enjoys attention and being petted softly. Delight in watching this little lady try to catch a dangly toy with her cute little paws! A gorgeous angel in a beautiful fur coat; hurry over and say hello to Maggie!
The Anti-Cruelty Society is located at 510 N LaSalle, Chicago, IL 60654.

    Tatiana's Tails

Tatiana grew up with dogs, cats, hamsters, parrots, rabbits, guinea pigs, and an iguana… just to name a few pets. She began her professional career with animals in 1995 at Brookfield Zoo. Tatiana has studied wild dolphins in Australia and rescued wildlife in Florida, but she always says that people are truly at the heart of her work. The welfare of people and animals is connected through a shared environment and the same traits of empathy and compassion that make someone a good pet owner also simply make people better neighbors and citizens. If it walks, hops, or slithers, Tatiana cares about it. She currently oversees the Humane Education programs at The Anti-Cruelty Society, hosts "Chicago Tails" on Watch312.com, and is a Guest Blogger for Tails Inc.
