Featured Cat & Dog of the Week from The Anti-Cruelty Society

Miss Tangerine 1-year-old domestic shorthair/mix

Miss Tangerine is a dainty and feminine girl who came to the shelter when her family was having a new baby -- and with all the time they needed for baby, they didn't have time for Miss Tangerine. Tangerine is friendly and likes to be petted, although she is not a fan of being held. She likes to play, but is pretty calm for her age. A gorgeous girl looking for a forever home, please say stop by and say hello to Miss Tangerine!    ** Miss Tangerine is a member of The Anti-Cruelty Society's "Feel the Love" CATpaign. Until February 14th, the 5 cats that have been at the shelter the longest will have their adoption fees waived.

Brutus 5-year-old black lab/mix

Please come meet Brutus! Brutus came to us when his owner could no longer care for him. Brutus is a super sweet, people-loving guy who has a way about him that will easily steal almost any heart. Brutus is a good-sized boy who is also very strong. He does tend to pull on a leash and will need an owner physically capable of handling a dog of his strength, and a home that can accommodate him. Brutus is a well-behaved fellow who knows some basic commands, such as "sit." He has been known to enjoy a tasty treat or two, and takes them gently. A lovable guy, Brutus is very much a gentle giant who would love it if you came to visit. If Brutus' handsome good looks don't get you, his charming and very endearing personality will! Please come meet Brutus today!
