Chaos! Please help me organize my digital photos

People of the Internet! I turn to you once again to help me in my terribly misguided life. This time, I need to know how to deal with the GAJILLIONS of photos we have taken with our trusty digi camera.

I love  taking pictures almost as much as complaining about how giant image files slow down my computer . These little ditties are eventually backed up on 1.21 gigawatt external hard drive and some are even uploaded to the ethers.  But are they printed out? Oh hell no. That would be terrible...to actually enjoy moments I felt necessary to capture.

I started out with good intentions, hand to God. I even printed out months zero through six of EK's life. Unfortunately, we are now coming up on his fourth birthday and have yet to fill frames that have been hanging on our walls for eons. We are talking no prints since 2011, people.

What will I show his high school sweetheart on family dinner night? A thumb drive?

How do you go about organizing digital photos (print vs archive)? Do you store them on the cloud? What the shit is the cloud?

Do you print them out? And/or upload them to a book format (e.g., blurb)? I would like to be able to look back through the years without having to to boot up the computer.

I am so overwhelmed with any and alll of these choices.; please enlighten me dear friends, so I don't get any further behind.

Thanks and kiseses!
