In 1998, Elizabeth 'Betsy' Riley of Chicago, suffered a brain aneurysm which left her profoundly disabled.
Through intensive therapies including art therapy, she has regained limited use of her left-hand and arm. It was during art therapy she discovered a passion for Jewelry making.
Betsy selects and threads each bead herself to create her one-of-a-kind pieces. Each bracelet and key ring is unique.
Proceeds from the sale of the bracelets go directly to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation. Betsy has raised more than $10,000 for the foundation and
she created the FIRST fundraiser for brain aneurysm awareness in Illinois. We are all grateful for her dedication, amazing recovery and spirit. Betsy is the inspiration
for all of the "Survivor in the city" initiatives. She has taught us all how to triumph when we fall.
In 2013 we will hopefully hear of more triumphs and less tragedies. For more information about purchasing one of Betsy's Bracelet's log onto www.bafound.org.
