Some of you asked for the recipe for the yummy Quick Apple Streusel Coffee Cake that I mentioned in the post "Ten things I learned from Chef Gale Gand." In case you didn't read the post, I had a chance to see Gand in person at the Palatine Public Library, where she made the buttery, cinnamon-y, apple-pie-ish-in-cake-form cake and gave everyone in the audience a piece to taste.
I made the recipe and can vouch that the cake is as easy to whip up as it is delicious.
In true lazy blogger fashion, here's a link to Gand's recipe, which appears on her website. She calls the cake "Quick Pear Streusel Coffee Cake." But the night I saw her, she used apples. She says you can use either one, but if you use pears, she likes Barlett.
