I had an endpoint in mind. It helps when you're clouded in stress to have something to work towards. That endpoint is this long, holiday weekend away, closed off in woods with good friends and carving my skiis into snow. No Internet and probably crappy cell service - disconnected in all of its glory.
But last night, that endpoint darn near unraveled. Thanks to a broken furnace and a lazy realtor, our lovely oasis-away-from-everything was no longer inviting. It was cold, and inoperable.
All I can say is, thank god for smart, proactive women coming to the rescue.
They say when life hands you lemons, make lemonade. I'm more a student of throw away the lemons and make what you want theory. Maybe a martini. I never really cared for lemonade.
