I am the epitome of happy right now. I lived to be 31 and I can say I am stable. I can always do better but thank God I am happy.
A lot of people are unable to say that but I can and that is the best birthday present anyone could ever want. I learned at a young age that life is more fun when you realize that if you can control it then change it but if you can’t do not worry about it. That is the key to my sucess and happiness. I try to share this with people constantly but to them it is easier said than done. With that thinking you are setting yourself up for failure.
Which leads me to the art of a New Years resolution. Many of you are trying to figure out how to make everything right. Some of you believe in the power of the midnight stroke. You think that after the clock hits 12 you will be equiped with the tools needed to better yourself and or certain situations.
This is possible as long as your New Year’s resolution is feasible and important to you. If you are hungry to acomplish something you will stop at nothing to get and or do it. People that know me well know that I have NEVER given up on anything in life. I am proud of that.
My personal New Year’s resolution is to start work with my non for profit organization and be happy. I know I can do those things because I am passionate about them. Sure, there are other things I need to work on like my weight and finishing school but why set myself up for failure. When the time is right I will realize that it is time to put my all into such issues.
Although my best friend told me I need to lose weight today and I think that was the trigger I needed to get my fat Ass on a tredmill. I am not thinking about how I can drop a few pounds. I am a solid 197 and 5’7. I’m boobs and thighs. I’m happy but my neck bothers me. I can tell you my insecurities because I’m that blunt. I shall conquer my neck rolls. I will not look like Sammy the tire via my throat.
So, on my special day take the time to figure out what is important to you so that you can set realistic goals. Thank you @afrocenchic for the wonderful photo of me this morning. I love you all. I apologize for any typos this post is from cell phone.
Ps you can do all things through Christ that strengthens you!
That’s somewhere in the bible I promise.
Amen,
JL
