David E. Ubeda is a powerhouse inspirational speaker and the quickwitted author of “Don’t Give Up: 5 Keys to Help You Through Life’s Holding Patterns”. Best known for providing leaders with the “blueprint to leave their fingerprint”, his audience consists of business owners, leaders, and people of all cultures, religions and educational backgrounds, who find themselves stuck, and without direction in their lives. Ubeda wants his readers to know that being in a holding pattern, albeit remarkably uncomfortable, is their greatest opportunity to discover their personal, professional, and spiritual best. “Just six years ago, I was homeless, divorced, and unemployed,” shared Ubeda. “But even in those times I knew there was something greater in store for me.” “If you’re feeling there’s more to life for you,” he explained, “it’s because you are wired for more.” Ubeda says many legendary leaders have followed practices similar to those outlined in his book, and others can be enlightened by intentionally implementing them into their lives on a daily basis. “If you look at great leaders like Nelson Mandela, who have face insurmountable odds, they have very strong principles that guide them,” he shared. “These 5 keys can provide that guidance and boost the confidence of those who are ready to give up on completing their life’s purpose.”
The first key Ubeda says, is Intentional Vision. He says limitations are only interpretations. In order to successfully navigate your holding pattern, you must be intentional about seeing yourself achieving that which does not yet exist. “You have to create or envision an outcome before you can make it a reality,” said Ubeda. Next is Intentional Growth. Ubeda encourages readers to identify their most receptive learning styles. “What is your learning style?” he poised. “Each person should understand how they best receive and disseminate information. Your business relationships will grow in tandem with your growth,” he said. “You have to keep moving forward—you’re either alive or you’re dead,” he explained. “There is no in between.” To make it through the challenges of your holding pattern, Ubeda says you must have intentional faith. While all readers may not have the same system of beliefs, he says we all believe in something. “If you don’t believe in a higher power, believe in yourself,” he said. “Believe in your assignment--be proactive about your destiny. Other important keys include intentional Resilience and Intentional Failure. The latter can cause many frustrated readers to shut the pages of the book and head out for a drink (or two)! However, Ubeda says, if you’re not intentionally placing yourself in a position to fail or take risks, you’ll never know how great you can be. The Spertus College graduate and former University of Phoenix lecturer has inspired thousands on television, radio, and in live events. He has shared the stage with featured artists such as Tye Tribbett, Veronica Petrucci (Angelo & Veronica), Carmen, Israel Houghton, Freddy Rodriguez, and Brandon Roberson. Ubeda has also worked with organizations such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago and the Chicago Department of Public Health.
Ubeda continues his message in the upcoming sequel, The Unstuck Life: 5 Simple Shifts to Live Life on Your Terms, also soon to be released. His funny, practical, high energy, no-nonsense approach resonates with all who hear him speak. Ubeda draws from his own personal, painful, life experiences such as divorce, unemployment, foreclosure, financial disaster, and health challenges to share messages of hope, and perseverance in the midst of extremely difficult circumstances. With an honest, transparent, and unique ability to relate to life’s most difficult challenges, Ubeda has a distinct message for readers of all ages. To find out more about David E.
