Since its start in 2008, Surge has provided clean water to nearly 67,000 people in 8 countries. Surge is committed to improving the health of people in those two countries, where water-borne diseases like cholera are the leading cause of illness.
On October 12th, the Chicago-based non-profit will hold WATER FALLS, an annual gala that will raise funds for life-sustaining water projects in Haiti and the Dominican Republic . The event will be an evening of art and entertainment at the National Hellenic Museum in Chicago's West Loop at 333 S. Halsted in Chicago.
WATER FALLS will feature wine, signature cocktails, beer from Stone Brewing Company and hors d’oeuvres representing several international cuisines. Entertainment includes our Surge Angels, an interactive wishing well and a silent auction of unique items. Chicago’s DJ GoodLuv and local jazz musicians will provide the music. The night will also feature a raffle, with a trip to Las Vegas being the grand prize.
Proceeds from Water Falls will fund water purification filters for the people of Croix des Bouquet, Haiti and Baitoa, Dominican Republic. . Funds from Water Falls will go towards purchasing FilterPure water purification filters so that thousands of people will soon have access to clean, safe water.
