I should call this post "Stop, Look, Listen, Savor"..tonight, the worlds largest wine fair comes to Chicago (talk about can't miss events!).
Vinitaly is the largest wine fair in the world with over 4,500 producers and 150,000+ visitors (including 45,000 from foreign countries). The event is held every year in Verona, Italy (46th edition: Verona 25-28 March 2012).
Vinitaly is the ambassador of Italian wine and the Vinitaly Tour organizes a series of events in many of the most important cities in India, US, Russia, Sweden, Hong Kong, Japan and Korea, to facilitate collaboration and communication between Italian producers and the key players of the wine sector.
The Vinitaly Tour format combines:
• Educational sessions: with round tables and panel discussion to facilitate the dialogue between Italian producers and foreign trade
• B2B events: seminars, interviews, round tables and tastings, which involve institutional representatives, buyers, distributors, food and beverage managers, sommeliers, opinion leaders and specialized press
• B2C events: walk-around tasting, charity tasting, where is highly concentrated a wide range of quality Italian wine
Vinitaly comes to Chicago tonight at River East Art Center tonight from 6PM to 8:30PM . The gathering will highlight over 200 wines from over 45 wine producers. Tickets are $30.
Cheers! and I'll see you tonight!
