Sarah Jessica Parker: A Stop and Blog the Roses gal

On Monday, Sarah Jessica Parker took an Amtrak train from NYC to DC for the White House's Turnaround Arts program event.

Not a private plane.
The train.
Not da plane, da plane.
No. Da train.

And why shouldn't she?
Nothing wrong with the train other than it can be uncomfortable, loud, prone to jerky motions and have bad food. That's all.

Then, she did the most spectacular thing - she enjoyed the ride.

As documented on her Instagram account -

It wouldn't be unreasonable to think: Tell me again why we're not flying.
What SJP has to say: All aboard, Amtrak!

It wouldn't be unreasonable to think: It's so damn bright. I'm closing my eyes.
What SJP has to say: Early morning sun lit images.

sjp 3

It wouldn't be unreasonable to think: That's a building I wouldn't want to meet Tony Soprano in.
What SJP has to say: Pretty old sign.

sjp 4

It wouldn't be unreasonable to think: Another boarded up house. Sad.
What SJP has to say: Gorgeous old red brick.

It wouldn't be unreasonable to think: Are we there yet?
What SJP has to say: Good morning, Baltimore!

And then, just when I didn't think I could love her anymore, she sneaks her new shoe line into the White House.

And in the spirit of Roses, today I am grateful for other Rose-y gals who remind me to stop and appreciate when I'd rather just close my eyes and fly.

Thank you for reading.
