I grew up twenty minutes from NYC and visited the World Trade Center as a child in the 1980s. This is the brochure from that visit.
I think about a lot of things on 9/11 - where I was that morning; the fact that I used to work right there in lower Manhattan; of all the good people who rushed to help others - but mostly I think of everyone who was lost and how each of them woke up that morning thinking it was going to be just another day.
Today is a reminder to tell everyone we love that we love them.
Thank you for reading this. May all who see this feel blessed for at least one moment every single day. Life is not always perfect but there is always something to be grateful for - even if it's just that you're here, on earth, with at least one person you love.
