Celebrity Quotes Later Claimed to be "Taken Out of Context"

Karl Lagerfeld thinks Pippa Middleton is ugly.  Actually, what he said was "I don't like [her] face. She should only show her back."

I estimate anywhere between 24 to 48 hours - give or take an hour - before his publicist claims it's all a big misunderstanding, his quotes were taken out of context, blah blah blah, Mr. Lagerfeld thinks Pippa Middleton is a beautiful woman and not fat like Adele, oops. (yup, he said that too.)

Naturally, I'm reminded of this entry from the Archives ~

Here are celebrity quotes later claimed to be 'taken out of context.'  Maybe they were... and, uh, maybe they weren't.

Today, I am grateful ~
1/ For the freedom to speak our minds in this country
2/ and for celebrities who speak their minds
3/ and when recording devices capture it.

  • "Startled chimpanzee." Hahaha!! I disagree. When I see women (Teri Hatcher, Megan Fox, etc.) after facelifts they look more East Asian.

  • I have to say that I do love when celebrities look more like "real women" and not fake, cosmetically altered Barbies. I so wish they didn't go that route. I say this even though I color my gray hair and paint on my eyebrows. :)

  • Sorry, that's related to Sharon Stone's quote about Meryl Streep.
