17 year old Me: I don't think I want to stay in NJ forever. I think I want to go to college out of state.
20-something year old Me: My application to Fordham Law School got lost. F$^%! I think I'm going to Boston.
30-something year old Me: H is being transferred to Chicago. I think we're moving.
Every relationship, every family dynamic, every situation is different. So, this might not be the best advice for another family, for another young person, for other situations. But, for a 17 year old, 20 something and 30 something Me, it was the best thing my mother ever said.
And, for that I'm grateful. I love you, Mommy!! Happy Mother's Day!!
