He's a huge Bears fan.
He grew up in Brooklyn but when he was about 10 years old, he saw the Bears getting killed on TV and thought they needed a fan.
Lifelong fanaticism followed, which included kicking the entire family out of the house when the Bears were on.
H told this to Mike Ditka last night and Ditka replied "Smart man."
Yes, we met Mike Ditka last night - not sure if this is ironic or expected or both - at Ditka's. (Had some awesome lamb chops, by the way.)
Today, I am grateful ~
1/ That we went to Ditka's.
2/ That we met Ditka.
3/ That he was so gracious. ...and his cooks make some kick ass lamb chops.

Not the clearest picture in the world but here is Ditka shaking my nephew's hand. He liked his mohawk.
