Not only did we go to the beach yesterday, but H and I also rode our bikes to Promontory Point ~ another absolutely beautiful Chicago highlight that it took me two years to partake in.
Today, I'm grateful for the little things ~
1/ I hadn't been on my bike in a long time and I was nervous about maneuvering it in the city. I nearly clipped about 6 or 7 people, but not 67 as I originally estimated. Pleasant surprise.
2/ Number of people that I cursed out (to myself, of course) for being in my way = 58
Another delightful surprise. I estimated well over 100.
3/ That, after I got through the crowds and crossed Michigan Avenue, it was smooth sailing. The Point, as I'm told it's called in these parts, was definitely well worth the sore backside.
