2011 WGN Radio Petcasts

Upon returning to WGN, my first Petcast - Chicago dog trainers Wendy DeCarlo and Dennis Damon from the Dog Obedience Group. "I remember Ethel when she was so small," said Dennis as he walked into the studio. "And she still loves me." Wendy added, "But Dennis, she loves everyone."

Dog Lovers Raise Money for Agility Instructor/Dog Park Pioneer Stacey Hawk

Lots and I mean LOTS of folks showed up to help Stacey. I was told to thank organizers by first name: Janice, Eileen, Callie and most of all amazing - in no time, they put together an amazing benefit. With Vienna hot dogs, Karin's Restaurant and the Bulldog Bakery - among many others. Incredible!
The Halloween Fundraser for agility instructor Stacey Hawk was held October 29 at the House of Blues. Hawk, who helped to create dog parks (known as Dog Friendly Areas) in Chicago, requires a sensitive surgery to remove and test for a mass behind her eye which her insurance refused to for, so friends and students... Camp Dogwood, A DogGone Good Time

So what do people who attend dog camp look like? Most are in this group photo (though not having a wide angle lense, with apologies, I missed a few folks and some dogs).

Bark in the Park, Fun to Help Homeless Pets

You're in the park - so why not have a picnic. Some stay for many hours after the event. This year, there will be a talent contest (for dogs - not for people!).
The Annual Bark in the Park fundraiser to help the Anti Cruelty Society to help homeless pets is Saturday, May 7 9 a.m. in Lincoln Park at Montrose Harbor.
