Dining with Fido - Old Town Social

Old Town Social truly welcomes dogs. The place is just friendly....simply a neighborhood type place, but with sophistication without pretentiousness, and flavors surprisingly complex. I am very much a fan. And the extensive beer list is filled with little known imports as well as domestic craft choices.
Continuing our summer series Dining with Fido, featuring restaurants and bars that are dog friendly. I loved everything about Old Town Social  (455 W. Dining with Fido: Harry Caray's Tavern at Navy Pier

The entrance of the most visited tourist attraction in Illinois. If you live nearby (as many people do), you know weeknights are relatively quiet. And Harry Caray’s is about fun, at any of their locations.

Looks like an English Setter wishing he was actually hanging at the Dock...where dining under the sun has never shined so bright.
With this post begins a new feature, Dining with Fido….reviewing and commenting, and hoping you comment as well – on restaurants and bars that allow canine clientele. If I told you the story of how dog friendly dining on patios and sidewalk cafes at restaurants and bars officially became legal in Chicago – that would... Read more »

There are now many dog friendly restaurants in Chicago – places that welcome canine clientele. One of those restaurants has been in the news a lot lately….it so happens that Bobby Hull watched the Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup at Harry Caray’s Tavern, Navy Pier. Bobby Hull, just after watching the Hawks clinch the Cup... Read more »
