IHAIO are the expert scientists and those who have programs which learn about and demonstrate the human/animal bond. For example, highlights will include a presentation on how merely walking a dog is healthful (for you, the dog and your community), and science on autistic children paired with a service dog. Does it work to truly help these kids? IHAIO holds their annual conference every three years, and this is the first time ever in the U.S.  Also, the first time ever it's being held in conjunction with a veterinary convention.
