Animals for LIFE Summit

Animals for LIFE Foundation held their first summit on March 20 in Columbus, OH. Speakers included Dr. Temple Grandin of Colorado State University (and famously subject of a made-for-TV movie), Dr. Jeanette O'Quinn of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Ohio State University and Association of Shelter Veterinarians and myself among several others. Animals for Life, established in 2009, celebrates the human-animal bond, and has awarded over $106,000 in grants to 20 recipients, on both the farm animal side to reading programs for children, a unique organization in many ways - and a very impressive one.

I had the pleasure of attending the Summit with my sister and my Reading Education Assistance Dog (R.E.A.D) Roo. The entire event was very impressive and I enjoyed listening to each speaker share their experiences and insights. You did a phenomenal job and I look forward to a repeat event next year! As one of the grant award recipients for my program, I'm proud to be affiliated with this wonderful organization and enjoyed having you share at and emcee the event! Thank you!
