Talking Pets and Turkey, Thanksgiving Day Pet Hazards

Talking Pets and Turkey, Thanksgiving Day Pet Hazards

Thanksgiving is all about the turkey, even for our pets. So, here's the eternal question: Can we feed our pets some turkey? Dr. Alexis Newman, president of the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association says, "A little bit of hand-outs for most pets, one or two little hand-outs, in moderation."

Listen HERE to Dr. Newman, as she talks on Steve Dale's Pet World  about Thanksgiving and our pets' safety.

Too much fat, and it takes less than people think, can cause pancreatitis. Of course, turkey bones can be vary dangerous.  And also be concerned about any baked goods containing Xylitol, which can be dangerous to pets.
