Talk about being tickled pink - Primrose ought to be. The young donkey, named Primrose, was born prematurely and the bones in her bowed legs had not fully developed fully, leaving her unable to stand or walk properly.
However now, thanks to veterinarians in the U.K. in Bridgnorth, the 3-week-old foal is not such a wonky donkey any more after she was fitted with bright pink casts. The bright casts are fitted to her two front legs to help support her body weight until her legs are strong enough to hold her up.
As it happens, this little donkey is no wallflower. She bumps around on her casts trying to befriend whoever she sees, horses or people. The hope is that by the end of August the casts can be removed. As for Primrose, she doesn't seem to know that bright pink casts aren't something all donkeys have.
