You'll never see a family Christmas Show like this one.
Following their whirlwind tour through Texas, Louisiana and Tennessee - the amazing Acro-Cats and Rock Cats (cats so talented they perform acrobatics as well as in a rock band) are back home, and the Gorilla Tango Theatre, 1919 N. Milwaukee Ave. (at Western Ave.).
The kitties give the Rockettes a run for their money. In fact, there's a rumor that Santa is considering replacing his reindeer with cats.
Seasonal selections will include "God Rest Ye Merry Kittens" and "Cat Roasting on an Open Fire."
Watch these ‘not so ordinary’ Santa’s kittens disprove the notion that “cats can’t be trained”, as they perform a variety of Christmas themed tricks. . Under the careful direction of trainer Samantha Martin, the performance offers a unique blend of spectacle, entertainment, education and public awareness. I have personally seen Martin's cats - and love the message. She trains her little performers with a clicker. What's more some these stars on stage are from shelters, and later leave her show to find permanent homes.
All this happens at the Gorilla Tango, at 1 and 4 p.m. December 3 and 4; and at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on December 11. Tickets are $18.
