Listen HERE to this WGN Radio, Steve Dale's Pet World Petcast with Dr. Patricia McConnell (you may need to wait a minute for it to load).
Patricia McConnell is one of my very favorite guests, and pet book authors. "The Other End of the Leash," and "For the Love of a Dog: Understanding Emotion in You and Your Best Friend" has a new book out, "Love Has No Age Limit: Welcoming Adopted Dogs into Your Home (with Karen London), it's all about adopting dogs from shelters or rescues. So, can you teach an old dog new tricks? Of course, you expect the answer to be "yes," but then how do you go about it, and also go about bonding with that new dog? What happens if there are bumps in the road?
After my last one-hour podcast with McConnell, I received this note, ""I'm a huge fan of yours, and the difference you've made for pets, and the values you stand by. I so admire Dr. McConnell; her books have taught me so much about how dogs think. Listening to you guys chat -- I felt I was like I was eavesdropping on what your private dinner conversation must be like."
Imagine sending me a reader question, and having McConnell answer? She answers a question about a dog with separation distress. Email your questions: Steve@petworldradio.net.
