Walk for Pets and to Honor Chicago Legend Dr. Lester Fisher

This year's Annual Bark in the Park fundraiser for the Anti Cruelty Society of Chicago is dedicated to Dr. Lester Fisher, director emeritus of the Lincoln Park Zoo, and also longtime member of the Board of Directors at the Anti Cruelty Society.

If you are of a 'certain age' you'll remember Fisher teaming up with Ray Raynor for the "Ark in the Park" segments on the Ch. 9.

No question - Dr. Fisher is a Chicago treasure!

Celebrate Dr. Fisher - who just celebrated his 90th birthday - with your dog in the park.

In the Petcast with Dr. Fisher, he told me Ray Raynor (pictured here) was really afraid of Chelveston, even dogs, let alone snakes and other critters Dr. Fisher toted along

Bark in the Park is Saturday, May 7, starting at 9 a.m. in Lincoln Park at Montrose Harbor. Register for the walk here.

Buttons with Dr. Fisher's photo will be sold at Bark in the Park for $20, raising money for the Dr. Lester Fisher Veterinary Fund at Anti Cruelty.

Just a few weeks back I interviewed Dr. Fisher for my WGN Radio Petcast: Listen HERE.

The Anti Cruelty Society recently interviewed Dr. Fisher - you can read the piece, here.
