Bark in the Park for the Anti Cruelty Society

Bark in the Park raised $250,000 for the Anti Cruelty Society of Chicago last year, so naturally the goal is to do better this year....the event is Saturday (May 7), at Montrose Harbor in Lincoln Park, just after 9 a.m.

Thousands of dogs, and people too, cross the finish line at the annual Bark in the Park event near the Lake.

Bark in the Park is a 5K walk--with
or without your dog,

The walk doesn't begin until Bill Moller officially starts it live on WGN Radio...Thousands of dogs will wait for Bill to bark. Without him, they go nowhere.

Here I am at Bark in the Park with the wonderful (and she is just as wonderfully inspirational in person) Roz Varon of WLS, TV and the ever present dude of radio traffic, Bart Shore of WBBM-AM

The official emcees for the event will be longtime supporters Hosea Sanders and Roz Varon of WLS-TV, Brian Middleton of Rewind (100.3 FM) and Bart Shore of WBBM-AM.  Once again, I will be there as an emcee as well.

After the walk, there are refreshments, and games, including a search for the most talented pets. Many vendors will be on site, from Camp Dogwood to pet food companies, like Hill's Science Diets; to a doggy cupcake vendor, High Hopes.

                                             Register for the walk HERE.
