Two Thousand Year-Old Temple for Cats Discovered in Egpyt

Archeologists in Egypt discover a temple for cats that's 2,000 years old. The discovery confirms three facts:

The Greek Dynasty of Egyptians continued the worship of ancient animal deities.
Many more ruins lie preserved, yet to be unearthed.
At 2,000 years - cats have been around longer than Larry King.

I would have to question the presumption of this blog entry. Where's the proof that cats have been around longer than LK?
