2014 Chicago Michelin Bib Gourmand Winners

Yesterday the 2014 Chicago Michelin Bib Gourmand winners were announced! This year has seen an increase in Chicago from 2013, from 64 to 69.

According to Michelin, the Bib Gourmand designation denotes good cuisine at a reasonable price in a variety of comfort categories. Defined as “Inspectors’ Favorites for Good Value,” Bib Gourmand restaurants offer two courses and a glass of wine or dessert for $40 or less (tax and gratuity not included), and are often of most value to a city’s residents, who regularly dine in neighborhood restaurants.

I've put together a mouthwatering gallery of all 69 restaurants, prepare to drool!

  • Interesting article, I really love the creative use of geography. Since when is Oak Park a south suburb? And how can a blogger claim to love exploring ALL of Chicago's neighborhoods when the furtherest south place on the list is in Bridgeport? Bridgeport is actually nearly in the center of the city. A bit biased, I'd say.

I just want to let all my everyone know that the locations were taken directly from Michelin's website: http://www.michelintravel.com/michelin-selection/michelin-guide-chicago-2014-2/. If you have any more neighborhood changes please let me know and I'd be more than happy to correct it!

  • Han 202 and Homestyle Taste are in Bridgeport, not the southwest suburbs as listed.

  • Nana also is in Bridgeport. Are you lumping everything south of 18th St. into to one region?

  • The geography thing is a bit fuzzy. #48 in your list is actually Nabuki in Hinsdale and it is outstanding.

Sol De Mexico is in Portage Park.

  • Thanks so much for the direction guys, I just used the locations directly from the Michelin site here:http://www.michelintravel.com/michelin-selection/michelin-guide-chicago-2014-2/. Obviously I haven't been to all 69 so just used this as a guide. Please feel free to tell me if anymore locations are off!!
