Chicago's Best Fish Tacos

Maybe it's the fact that Chicago is located no where near an Ocean, or it could be the fact that it's decently cold here most of the year, or perhaps a lot of gastro pubs are looking for some diversity, BUT one thing is true: fish and shrimp tacos rule in Chicago.

 

 Stephanie's Shrimp Taco Recipe: For two people

Ingredients: This one turns out to be a bit more burrito like than taco...but just as tasty

  1. 20 frozen pre-cooked shrimp
  2. 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  3. mixed greens
  4. 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  5. 1/2 teaspoon of cumin
  6. pinch of seasoning salt
  7. pinch of onion powder
  8. dollop of sour cream
  9. salsa, this was a quick fix meal, but when I have more time I prefer to make my own pineapple salsa...recipe coming soon :-)
  10. tortillas
  11. shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:

  1. Saute




    shrimp in a pan with all spices and olive oil

  2. Melt cheese on top of tortilla
  3. Top cheesy tortilla with shrimp, salsa, mixed greens and sour cream
  4. Enjoy!!
