Play your home games at home
The Wrigley Field game was a good idea. The time was right, the team was building momentum, the new marketing plan of naming Northwestern "Chicago's Team" was working like gangbusters, and this game would serve as the icing on top of the cake-- the final touch that would push that boulder over the hill and begin to make the 'Cats a desirable sports destination in the city of Chicago.
The worst-case scenario happened, both with the game and the execution (the odd playing rules, and yours truly as well as hundreds of other Northwestern fans getting inexplicably moved to the worst seats in the place after shelling out quite a bit of money for supposed "good seats," and given the cold shoulder by the highest offices of the athletic department (I'm not bitter, I swear)), but the idea was still solid........

THE REAL NU (and other Northwestern notes)
One team that likes to call itself "NU" is 4-1 against the other team that likes to call itself "NU" this season across all sports. If I had said that this would be the case at the beginning of the year, and that the former would be Northwestern and the latter Nebraska, would you have believed me... Read more »
Bill Carmody: "Give Peace a Chance"

To those who have stuck with the program through all the years of misery: I salute you. See, I can deal with losing. Originally from Seattle, I root for the... Read more »

The Paperboy Delivers
Rejoice! Our hardwood heroes are 7-0 for the first time in a good, long while! This time, they actually beat a team with a pulse, and, in the process, avoided any potential awkwardness that would ensue from a team/school as preppy as Northwestern losing to the “American Eagles.“ One can’t help but be excited about... It's Tuesday, let's have a little fun
Well, we’re closing in on basketball season, and it’s less than two weeks until the Friday Blowout with Snoop where we all just pretend to smoke weed, make pornos, and magically our basketball team becomes a perennial winner. Okay, it’s not that easy. Anyone who has seen this picture knows about how ridiculous the “cigar... Read more »
