Welcome to SoxNet, your destination for information on Chicago White Sox past, present and everything in between. SoxNet originally started in 2000 by White Sox fans and great friends Mario Scalise and Jason Gage. The site operated for three years before going dormant. It was relaunched on Thursday, July 23, 2009 on the old version of ChicagoNow, the current home of the site. We're proudly relaunching SoxNet on the new ChicagoNow as an MLB companion to our flagship site, Future Sox. Future Sox has been a high quality site providing daily recaps and thought provoking content for White Sox fans, something we'll be emulating at SoxNet. How you can connect with us:

Interested in writing for us?

SoxNet is currently looking for an assistant manager. The position is unpaid.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quickly edit stories for publication
  • Help manage social media accounts and push content on our discussion board, Soxtalk.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AP Style.
  • Copy editing experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience operating social media accounts for public consumption.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Prior experience in sports journalism a plus.

SoxNet is looking for writers to help contribute to the site. The position is unpaid.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write content regularly for SoxNet.
  • Stories can be game-recaps, topical news, etc. as long as it provokes discussion about the Chicago White Sox.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to recognize and develop newsworthy stories.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated excellence as a reporter, writer and editor on a varied array of issues is a plus.
  • Prior experience in sports journalism a plus.
