So, I’ve got a lot got on. I work full time. I’m a pretty active parent. Recently I started writing freelance. Getting paid to write has been a great experience. Blogging is great, but it don’t pay the bills.
Pop Mythology isn’t my blog though. It has an editor, other contributors, but I’m just a writer. S far it’s been great, liberating even. Which leads to this blog. I enjoy writing about the White Sox. To varying degrees, I’ve been doing it for about 7 years, first on my own blog, then with ChicagoNow. It’s just that I don’t get to do it enough for myself or fellow White Sox fans. But Pop Mythology has given me a great idea. It’s time to bring in new writers.
Basically, this is an invitation to my fellow White Sox fans. If you have the itch to write about the White Sox and you don’t want to bother setting up a blog, now is your chance. Drop a comment, send me an email, make your pitch. Trust me, odds are really good you’ll be welcome. Seeing how only one voice has been coming out of this blog, something new is exciting.
For complete transparency, I’m not exactly sure how multiple authors on a blog works, but I know it can be done, even on a ChicagoNow site. Oh, and if you weren’t aware, blogging doesn’t pay, White Sox and Stuff included, sorry. You’ll get to write, pretty much what you want, when you want and it’s a lot of fun. I wish I could do it all the time, but I can’t. That’s where you come in. I look forward to hearing from you.
