We all have something we'd like to change about ourselves. Some people don't like their teeth, or want to change their hair color.
I wouldn't mind having a little extra cushion and lift in my booty-area.
Yeah, I said, "Booty."
Seriously, I think my pants would fit so much better with a little help but I am not desperate to the point of using sub-standard methods to save money. A low end procedure costs about $3,000.
A lady (formerly a man) by the name of Oneal Ron Morris was arrested last year in South Florida for injecting patients with a poisonous cocktail of tire sealant, cement, super glue and mineral oil. All of this for the low, low price of $700.
Just hearing this mixture would make me and anyone else with common sense, run for the hills. However, Morris did not inform patients that they were being injected with items that are considered poisonous.
This isn't the first case of people playing doctor:
A British woman died in Philadelphia. Claudia Aderotimi, 20, came to the United States to get a butt procedure done because she thought it would boost her career as a video model.
In the end, she lost her life because the liquid silicone that was was injected in her breasts and bottom seeped into her bloodstream.
Countless others fall victim to these shady practices every year. A woman lost all of her limbs due to infection. Another developed a flesh-eating disease which ate her buttocks to the bone, literally!
It is sad that many lost sight of the risks to obtain everyone else's perception of the perfect body.
There is no such thing as "perfect" and health should be the main focus of any cosmetic service rendered.
I believe a positive self-image should be the most important aspect of a person's mental health and as parents, we need to instill this in our children at a young age.
with that being said, I am going to quit my quest for the "perfect" booty and do a few leg lifts and donkey kicks instead.
