Lying holds us back.

As an entrepreneur, I know I’m not alone when I tell you that broken promises and outright lies are maddening.
There comes a point in everyone’s life when you should just be honest with yourself and others about what you are interested in—or not.
Don’t be fake; choose to be honest and truthful, that saves a whole lot of time and unnecessary headaches.
I run into this all of the time. I am running a business and promoting a product. I am bold and will approach anyone to share the good news. If you say you are interested then I will definitely follow-up. If you say you are not interested I will leave well enough alone. It’s as simple as that.
But then when I follow-up and you either ignore or don’t return the phone calls, emails, texts, social media messages, that is just rude, unnecessary and unprofessional.
I also run into the outright lie: “I will let you know when I am ready. I will get back to you.”

You either want it or not, it’s that simple. Be a person of your word and either follow through and do your part, or indicate otherwise.
Sometimes, I just wish adults would be more like children. At least my children are very forthcoming and tell me exactly what they are feeling and what they do or don’t want to do.
Adults let’s take it from children – are you going to be honest with yourself and others or are you going to put on a façade?
There is no time for a wild goose chase. Let’s keep it real… Maybe that’s what we need more of in this world – HONESTY—women who stay true to their word.
