The room was absolutely bright. A small cadre of press convened to interview The Intruder's star Megan Good and writer/director Deon Taylor in an undisclosed location in Chicago.

With a slight overcast of a peeking sun, Good's flawless smile sparkled as she greeted us with a warm hello and a genuine handshake. Clad in jogging pants with a basic crop hoody (that truly complimented her frame), Good is beyond stunning.

"In looking for roles or being casted, I always want to challenge myself for growth and go to an edge that engages the audience," Good said excitedly. Chicago's own director Taylor also held court at the press event.  With a sly grin, he adds, "And she was absolutely correct; characters should be able engage the viewer to where the line is blurred and the actor is not visible; just the character."

Taylor was adamant about staying independent with a free style directing focus that encompasses input from cast that adds depth (to storyline). "There is no straight laced formula to this (filmmaking)," Taylor says, rubbing his hands with a slight laugh.

"I have been called to meetings with studio heads, which I thought there was trouble. They told me just be your unorthodox self. Like (Dennis) Quaid told me I trust your direction: tell me what to do. You know how big that responsibility is? A Hollywood legend like him saying that? That speaks volumes about your (body of) work."
Taylor shakes his head with confidence, "Yeah, that's deep."

"Spit on me."

Meagan laughed and tapped him on the shoulder,"The spit scene?" Taylor's confidence shook--followed by laughter.
Good described a particular scene with Quaid: "I am completely as Annie and saying my lines (this one was included screaming) when he (Quaid)whispered, 'Spit on me.' I was unsure if I heard him right so I said "What?" This time he said it a lil bit louder. The look of bewilderment must have truly translated on camera because then you heard [director] Deon [Taylor] yell....... "Gotdamn it, SPIT ON HIM!"
Good continued, "During this (filming), I was able to follow Deon around on set to receive tips and guidance for my future directorial debut."
Jumping up, she came over to me and embraced me in a true sister hug. "You give the best hugs" she gushed "And your hair! It is beautiful." My follicles danced as she touched them "It's so soft and love your lipstick." [I was rocking Style Pop, a Chicago-based brand,  color: MultiColor Girl Glitter, and I grinned so hard].
We took a nice selfie and then Deon joined the picture.

As I  floated down the hallway into the elevator, the sun was shinning just as bright as my soul. I loved hearing the backstory of this taut, psychological thriller. The Intruder is now playing--don't miss it.
