This past weekend, I visited one of my favorite outdoor markets, the Randolph Market. Full of antiques, vintage clothing and estate jewelry, it is an absolute treasure trove. I am always on the hunt for vintage etiquette books to add to my collection and while searching through stacks I spotted this gem...a 1973 booklet titled "What every woman should know about plumbing". Of course I could not pass it up, especially after seeing the tear out pipe labels. While there was some good advice and lessons to be learned, I quickly realized that every "tip" ended with the direction to call a plumbing contractor!
