CHICAGO, July 12, 2018. After two years of planning and negotiations, 'ground'  has been broken on Navy Pier's--yet to be named--first ever hotel--scheduled to be up and running in Spring of 2020.

The massive project, headed by ACRON, a global real estate investment firm and Maverick Hotels & Restaurants, a leading hotel management and development company is expected to change the landscape of the Pier taking advantage of its magnificent lakefront setting and turning it into a 24/7 center of activity. In addition, the project will bring 600 construction jobs to Chicago and will create somewhere in the neighborhood of 300 permanent positions.
