Make your choice, then read on to see if you are right.

Michelin's Chicago Bib Gourmand winning restaurants for 2014 have just been announced in advance of the November 13 launch of MICHELIN Guide Chicago 2014. The list, includes 69 hotspots up from last year's 64...but there should and easily could be more as anyone familiar with Chicago's restaurant scene would agree.

The Bib Gourmand restaurants are the budget friendly, best bang for your buck spots, where you can enjoy a two course meal and a glass of wine or dessert for $40 or less (tax and gratuity not included)--unlike the upscale starred restaurants where the serious well-heeled diners break bread along with the bank.

The list of  restaurants is broken down by Chicago neighborhood and suburban locations.  So where are Chicago's hottest restaurants?

This year's winning restaurants include 21 newbies with 12 of last year's winners dropped. Highly respected spots returning to the list include Frontera Grill, the Girl & the Goat, GT Fish & Oyster and quite a few others. Among the new additions are Fat Rice, and Gather with Aramni who was on the list in 2012 and off last year, back for 2014. Twenty-two different cuisines are represented with sushi, Mexican, Asian and BBQ's in great supply.

The winning neighborhood for the Chicago neighborhood with the most Bib Gourmand restaurants is a tie with the West Loop neighborhood and the Bucktown/Wicker Park enclave both racking up nine. The Andersonville, Edgewater and Uptown neighborhood is in a tie for second place with Lakeview and Wrigleyville area--each coming in with a respectable six Bib Gourmand winners. The Humboldt Park/Logan Square neighborhood has five with the River North, Lincoln Park/Old Town and Chinatown/South Loop neighborhoods claiming four each.
