Lookingglass Theatre, Frontera Grill and Silverguy Entertainment announced today, the return of Rick Bayless in Cascabel: Dinner – Daring – Desire--a theatrical adventure featuring a sumptuous feast, world-class circus acts, and a tantalizing love story starring celebrity chef Rick Bayless.
If you missed out on this the first time in 2012, here's your second chance. This culinary and theatrical experience is coming to the Goodman Theatre’s Owen Bruner Theatre, 170 N. Dearborn, for four weeks only, July 30 through August 24, 2014.
The first time around, Cascabel played to sold out houses and with the Chicago Tribune saying, “there’s nothing even remotely like it in Chicago."
Cascabel is sensory dining unlike anything you’ve ever experienced (unless you were there in 2012). The event features a gourmet Mexican feast, world-class circus acts, flamenco, comedy and Rick Bayless.
Bayless, remembering the 2012 production comments, “We had such a great time during the first production of Cascabel, a show that brings together a passion for dining, theatrical storytelling and circus. These complementary elements will continue to give audiences an experience like never before. I look forward to further collaboration with Lookingglass and Silverguy Entertainment as we share this thrilling experience—maybe even with a few new surprises.”
The theatrical adventure is co-created by Rick Bayless, Artistic Associate and founder of Silverguy Entertainment Tony Hernandez (Hephaestus, Lookingglass Alice), and Lookingglass Ensemble Member Heidi Stillman (Hephaestus, The Brothers Karamazov, Hard Times)
